About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Special Education Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing support to our special education students and ensuring their academic success.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the special education teacher in the implementation of education plans (EHCP’s)
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure students receive appropriate services and accommodations.
  • Help students with daily living skills, including personal care and socialisation.
  • Monitor students’ progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with special needs students is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and maintain a positive and professional demeanour.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students with special needs.
