About the Role of Domiciliary Care Manager:
As our Branch Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in setting up and driving the success of our new home care service. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of care delivery, managing a dedicated team, and ensuring the highest standards of service to support individuals who wish to remain independent in their own homes.
You'll lead from the front-coordinating services, managing staff, and championing the needs and well-being of our clients. Your role will be essential in promoting independence, safety, and quality of life for everyone we support.
Key Responsibilities for the Domiciliary Care Manager include:
Provide inspirational leadership and foster a supportive, high-performing team culture.
Recruit, train, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary team including caregivers, nurses, and office staff.
Oversee all operational aspects of the branch, including client intake, scheduling, care planning, and service coordination.
Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, policies, and procedures.
Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and service quality to drive continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with clients and families to ensure care is tailored to individual needs and preferences.
Conduct client assessments and develop personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Handle complaints effectively and ensure consistently high levels of satisfaction.
Develop relationships with referral sources (e.g., GPs, hospitals, community groups).
Represent the branch at local events to raise awareness and build connections.
Lead quality assurance processes including audits and regular service evaluations.
Manage the branch budget and identify opportunities for growth and cost-efficiency.
Ensure health and safety and risk management procedures are consistently followed.
Stay up to date with industry trends and encourage professional development across your team.
Skills & Attributes required of the Domiciliary Care Manager:
Proven experience managing a domiciliary care service (essential).
Excellent business acumen and a strong desire to grow and develop services.
In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Person-centred mindset with a commitment to quality care.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Qualifications for the Domiciliary Care Manager:
Minimum NVQ Level 4/5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
