A very exciting, niche market engineering firm in Norwich is seeking a Service Engineer to join their team based in Norwich.

This exciting role involves working on-site at customer locations both within the UK and internationally, supporting the maintenance and servicing of cutting-edge systems. As part of a high-performing team, you will deliver exceptional technical support, training, and maintenance services to ensure the operational efficiency of complex equipment.

As a Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing on-site technical support, repairs, and training for electrical and electronic systems and other company products. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing maintenance, and ensuring the effective installation, commissioning, and service of critical systems, both in the UK and abroad. This role will involve working independently or as part of a small team, often in demanding environments.

This organisation is looking for a skilled engineer with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background. You must be resourceful, flexible, and confident in dealing with customers in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, commission, repair, and maintain systems and other company products at customer sites.Carry out detailed fault diagnosis, rectifying customer-reported faults.Assist in the delivery of training courses within the factory and at customer locations.Provide clear and concise technical support, ensuring customers can diagnose and recover faults effectively.Coordinate with the Customer Support Manager to ensure seamless service delivery.Produce accurate and timely reports detailing technical support and maintenance activities.Build and maintain positive customer relationships, providing high standards of service and support.Adhere to health and safety practices and procedures in all activities.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification (Degree, HND, HNC, ONC).Ability to read complex wiring diagrams and provide clear fault diagnosis instructions.Physically fit to Eng 1 standard and capable of passing Sea Survival course.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often under challenging conditions.Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to drive both in the UK and abroad.UK Valid Passport with no travel restrictions.Adherence to health and safety practices and procedures.
