Qualified Electrician (Solar PV Installation)
 
Location: Norwich (Office) & Norfolk & Suffolk Installations
Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
Reporting to: Directors
 
 
Role Overview:
 
As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This is an exciting opportunity for an electrician who is passionate about renewable energy and eager to contribute to the growth of the solar industry.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Install solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, battery storage, EV chargers and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with technical design specifications, local regulations and industry standards.
  • Ensure all installations comply with UK electrical standards IET Wiring Regulations and health and safety (H&S) standards.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge or industry technologies, best practices, and legislation.
  • Monitoring and maintaining excellent health & safety (H&S) standards on site at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding project timelines, system performance and maintenance needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation for installations, maintenance and repairs including compliance checks.
  • Assist with the completion of necessary paperwork for permits and grid connection applications.
 
 
About You:
 
Essential:
 
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and residential electrical systems and safety protocols.
  • Full UK driver’s license.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work at heights
 
 
Desirable:
 
  • Relevant MCS-recognised qualifications.
  • Experience in Solar PV installation.
  • Experience with various solar PV design software.
