Approach Personnel are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wayleave Officer with a strong background in managing wayleave agreements specifically for Overhead Lines and high voltage infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

  • Securing and managing wayleave agreements for overhead lines and high-voltage utilities infrastructure.
  • Liaising with landowners, tenants, and local authorities to negotiate and obtain necessary wayleave approvals.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating wayleave agreements in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (including engineers, project managers, and legal teams) to ensure the timely and effective delivery of high voltage and overhead line projects.
  • Managing the process for obtaining land access permissions and ensuring that infrastructure installations adhere to required guidelines.
  • Conducting site assessments to ensure feasibility and resolve any access issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in relation to high voltage and overhead line projects.
  • Resolving disputes or concerns raised by landowners and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all wayleave agreements, correspondence, and site visits.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in wayleave management, with a focus on overhead lines and high voltage utilities infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of land access legislation, property law, and specific regulations surrounding wayleave agreements in the utilities sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards relating to high voltage and overhead line installations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel for site visits
