Hexwired have partnered with an exciting electronics manufacturer in the Norfolk area who are looking for an electronics design engineer to join their team. They are looking for candidates with a degree in electronic engineering and experience of designing mixed signal products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and test multi-layer PCBs, supported by simulation and real-world testing.
  • Analyse and resolve product defects and system failures.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on engineering designs.
  • Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including BOMs, Gerbers, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including manufacturing and quality, to ensure product success.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 3 years of experience in electronics and embedded system design.
  • Expertise in designing mixed-signal systems including SOC, FPGA, and power supply circuits.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in C/C++, VHDL, and version control tools like GIT.
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer and simulation tools.
  • Experience with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, RS-232) and high-voltage systems (400V DC).
