Senior Engineer - Highways
Location: Norwich

Are you an experienced Senior Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the highways sector? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Norwich, delivering key infrastructure projects with precision and efficiency.
The Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of highways projects. Your responsibilities will include:
路Assisting in project planning, monitoring, and programming.
路Mentoring and supporting junior and graduate engineers.
路Managing site engineering control, setting out activities, and providing technical information to operatives and subcontractors.
路Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed on time and to the required quality.
路Producing 2D & 3D site sketches and as-built surveys.
路Developing and implementing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensuring compliance with specifications.
路Drafting, reviewing, and implementing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
路Ensuring all surveying equipment is calibrated and maintained.
路Conducting material reconciliations and minimising waste on-site.
路Identifying and introducing innovative processes and techniques.
路Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and contributing to a safe working environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
路Advanced setting out skills and strong engineering knowledge.
路Relevant civil engineering experience, preferably in highways (rail, water, or aviation experience will also be considered).
路Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
路NVQ Level 3 or higher in a relevant discipline.
路SMSTS qualification and a valid CSCS card.
路Proficiency in AutoCAD and Office 365.
