About the Role:TEC Partners are working with a well-established client based in Norwich who are looking to expand their production team with several new Test Engineers (Electronics). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hands-on Test Engineer with a strong electronics background, particularly someone with good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for testing complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems, verifying build standards, and ensuring that equipment functions to the required engineering specifications and tolerances. You'll work closely with various departments, including Mechanical Fitters, Wiring Teams, and Engineering, to ensure high-quality products are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Perform fault finding and recommend corrective actions when necessary
  • Raise MRBs (Material Review Boards) and close down test operations in the company's ERP system
  • Follow work instructions and ensure accurate time booking via ERP
  • Conduct customer witness factory acceptance tests (FATs)
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks compatible with the role

About You:The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a similar role (preferably within electronics or electro-mechanical engineering)
  • A relevant qualification (minimum NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent apprenticeship)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams
  • Proficiency in soldering, crimping, lacing, and splicing
  • Experience with PCB assembly, testing, and repairs
  • Competency in using electronic test equipment and following detailed test specifications
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with a methodical approach
  • Familiarity with Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Identification, and Cable production techniques
  • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently when needed
  • High standards of workmanship
