Contract Personnel are excited to be collaborating with the UK’s leading provider of personal finance data in their search for a Data Handler (Financial Products).

This position presents a fantastic opportunity to become part of a high-caliber financial data team. The department is responsible for the creation and maintenance of datasets covering a broad range of personal finance products, including mortgages, savings, loans, current accounts, credit cards, and more. There is also significant potential for the successful candidate to contribute to process improvements within the business. You will be expected to learn quickly, gaining in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its products, with the ability to perform at a high standard across various product areas.

Key Responsibilities• Collecting, inputting, extracting, and analyzing financial product data• Producing financial charts and figures for national media publications• Managing relationships with financial services providers to obtain necessary data• Evaluating products to assist in identifying best buys• Summarizing changes to financial products• Providing support for internal projects and investigations• Acting as a subject matter expert for specific product areas• Collaborating with the team to deliver up-to-date financial information within tight deadlines

Education & Qualifications• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A*-C), including Maths and English (essential)• 2 x A Levels, or equivalent (essential)• Degree-level education, or equivalent experience in the financial services industry or a similar sector (desirable)

Personal Specification• Knowledge and experience within the financial services industry and its products (desirable)• Strong focus on numerical accuracy, paired with a logical approach to tasks• Ability to manage large data sets in an organized and clear manner• Excellent communication and relationship management skills• Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving• Proactively identifying efficiency improvements that benefit the business• Ability to set high personal standards, use initiative, persuade others, and influence strategy• Clear and articulate with an audience-focused mindset• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure• Basic Microsoft Excel skills are essential; further training will be provided

Salary• Competitive salary, based on experience

Hours• Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday• Office-based position
