Our client, based in Norwich, are seeking a qualified accountant who is adaptable, resilient and a strong team player. In what is considered a fast paced environment, the successful candidate will have experience of working to strict deadlines in a hands on role.
Ideally you will be qualified (CIMA) and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create cost and profit reports for main contracts and subcontracts, including revenue recognition.
- Ensure transparent and timely reporting of all contract, claim, and financial matters to the appropriate management.
- Manage various contracts, identifying, reducing, and controlling commercial risks in projects.
- Lead internal cost reviews.
- Provide financial support for developing price and cost models for new bids and opportunities.
- Assist the line manager or take on delegated management tasks, such as project closeouts and audits.
- Seek to improve company processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Deliver effective commercial contract support, focusing on cost engineering and project accounting.
- Conduct IR35 reviews for all contractors and manage the IR35 process, records, and ESIP assessment tool.
- Act as a link between day-to-day project requirements and the reporting and delivery of financial information, aligning with long-term contract accounting standards.
- Provide project budgets and forecasts, including cost of outturn.
