Finance Operations Director

Reed Finance Norwich are seeking a Finance Operations Director to lead and manage the operational aspects of the Finance function at our clients Norwich office. This role involves developing and maintaining procedures over organisational financial decision-making, conducting financial reviews, and leading financial projects. The Finance Operations Director will collaborate with senior leadership and act as a key member of the Financial Management team, encompassing all legal entities and geographical locations of the group.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Review operational financial processes from end to end in the organisation to drive improvements through collaboration with other functions.
  • Lead Finance representation in interactions with service centre, multinational, and other operational teams, managing the maintenance and reporting of financial service metrics.
  • Act as the reporting line for the operational resources in the Finance department, notably the team based in Norwich office.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for various aspects of financial decision-making on an organisation-wide basis and interact closely with the legal, compliance, and finance functions.
  • Undertake financial review and analysis in respect of non-standard transactions, distribution spend, and other significant financial transactions.
  • Lead the management of legacy issues to conclusion from a financial perspective.
  • Complete ad-hoc reviews and manage action plans in relation to specific business issues and initiatives.
  • Play a key role in both Finance and IT transformation initiatives alongside other Finance leaders and other functions.
  • Engage in and/or lead other wider cross-functional and cross-discipline projects and initiatives.
  • Interact with other financial leaders on the development and production of certain board, committee, and management reporting as well as the resolution of actions arising.
  • Manage the budget of the Finance department and related financial cost centres and approve expenditure within an agreed level of authority.
  • Stay up to date on trends and developments within financial management and provide insight and guidance to the Finance function and organisation as a result.
