What is the role?
 
As a Test & Finishing Technician, you'll ensure products meet quality standards before leaving the factory. This includes inspecting, testing, and configuring electrical control panels and assemblies, conducting customer acceptance tests, and maintaining documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with other departments, troubleshoot, and maintain high health, safety, and environmental standards.
 
 
What will my day-to-day duties look like?
 
  • To undertake inspection and testing of Control Panels and Switchgear.
  • To carry out electrical installation testing of factory-built assemblies.
  • Configuration and set-up of instrumentation and equipment within assemblies.
  • Process testing of factory-built assemblies.
  • Host and conduct customer inspections and acceptance tests.
  • Be responsible for generating and completing relevant test documentation and certification.
  • Pro-actively engage with all interested departments to complete testing and address any problems that are identified.
  • To maintain a close working relationship with all other departments to establish positive feedback on all contracts to ensure continuing development and error removal.
  • Assist with internal process development and identifying and removing waste / non-value-added activities. Help to maintain and develop procedures and systems to ensure the maintenance of manual and electronic filing systems.
