Straight Forward Recruitment are actively looking for a Forklift & Yard Operative to work at a timber company in East Harling.
This is a temporary ongoing placement with the potential for a permanent position for the right individual.Â
IMMEDIATE STARTS AVAILABLE
SHIFT: MONDAY to FRIDAY
HOURS: 07h30 - 17h00
PAY: £12.80 to £13.15 per hour, based on experience.
As a Forklift & Yard Operative:
- You will be working within the yard and production areas of a timber manufacturer. As a designated Forklift Driver.
- Working with teams across the production area, supporting them in the production of wooden frames and joists.
- Moving timber and other production materials, to the required production areas across the site.
- Your duties will also involve some manual handling of timber materials.
- Remove finished orders from production to another designated area of the site, for despatch.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of lorries within the yard.
- Adhere to all of the required Health and Safety best practice across the site.
- You will also be required to undertake any other related duties, such as housekeeping and maintain a clean working environment.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Although additional training will be given, you must have experience as a either a Mutli-directional, Reach truck or Side Loader Forklift for this position.
This position has also a physical aspect to the role, similar experience, being methodical, repetitive work, lifting and carrying would be preferred.
Own Transport is essential for the position due to location.
