Job Summary:
 
An experienced ICA (Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) Technician is required to join a dynamic team in Norwich. This role focuses on equipment replacement, fault diagnosis, and the testing, installation, and maintenance of control and automation systems, including Telemetry RTU, PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
 
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Equipment Replacement: Replacing end-of-life or non-supported equipment and hardware, including Telemetry RTU and their communications, PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control systems.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Identifying and resolving technical issues with instrumentation, control, and automation equipment, using troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools.
  • Testing and Configuration: Ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and is properly configured to meet operational requirements.
  • Installation and Repair: Installing, modifying, and repairing equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following industry best practices and safety guidelines.
  • Compliance: Adhering to industry standards and regulations, such as Health and Safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Electrical Drawings: Reading and modifying electrical drawings to understand and implement technical specifications.
 
 
About You:
 
  • Strong technical skills in control and automation systems, especially PLC and SCADA.
  • Strong problem-solving and safety adherence.
  • Skilled in reading and modifying electrical diagrams and providing technical guidance.
  • Excellent team collaboration and communication.
 
Experience Requirements:
 
  • ONC, City & Guilds, or NVQ equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience in water/sewage industry frameworks.
  • Health & Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH, CSCS).
  • Knowledge of Telemetry systems and PLC software is advantageous.
