As a result of growth in demand for our services we are seeking a Payroll Team Leader to join our Payroll Services by the Team based in Norwich on the Broadland Business Park.

We are a major professional services group who deliver the very best client experience backed up by first class advice and smart solutions for accountancy, tax, payroll and complementary financial services.

Our branded Payroll service works alongside our network of accountants to deliver end-to-end payroll services for their clients. We will also be developing a direct to market payroll service. You will receive support and guidance from our experienced team, as well as ongoing training via The Payroll Centre’s ACT platform.

The role

  • Support & lead Payroll Associates & Payroll Administrators
  • Manage holiday cover planning for the team
  • Deal with complaints from Franchisees and clients
  • Manage client and Franchisees expectations of Payroll Services
  • Maintain the payroll assigned support site pages
  • Provide on-line and face to training for the Network in agreement with the Training Team
  • Manage the Payroll related tickets in agreement with the Technical Team
  • Provide 1-2-1s work reviews and Appraisals for payroll team members
  • Manage the creation & maintenance of the payroll manual
  • Lead the payroll meetings with the assistance of the Payroll Administrator
  • Arrange & attend the payroll annual training for the team
  • Keep up to date of payroll legislation and update the team
  • Attend network social events to be a known contact for Payroll Services
  • Oversee the annual P11D process
  • Payroll Duties
  • Deliver payroll services in accordance with the letter of engagement with your assigned Franchisees and direct clients (see recurring compliance work)
  • Understand the Letter of Engagement for Payroll Services to ensure you are working within the range of work that we have agreed to
  • Understand and adhere to AML and GDPR agreements
  • Manage all e-mail correspondence from your assigned Franchisee & their team.
  • Provide phone cover as and when is assigned/required
  • Manage admin tasks that help maintain good house-keeping of your Franchisees & clients e.g. keeping billing charges updated for your Franchisee
