Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with SHEQ standards.
  • Provide guidance to management and teams on SHEQ policies, including developing site-specific procedures.
  • Manage permitting and inspections, ensuring all relevant information is documented.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, creating corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Coordinate SHEQ training programs to ensure team readiness for safe operations.
  • Monitor and report on SHEQ performance indicators, identifying improvement areas.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Holds IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (or working towards them).
  • Qualified in SMSTS (Units 1-3).
  • Background in utility or construction site environments, with strong knowledge of CDM 2015.
  • Preferred qualifications include Lifting Operations accreditation.
  • Experience in preparing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and incident reports.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and detail-oriented, capable of managing responsibilities under pressure.
