Job Title: Fire and Security Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Fire and Security Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' experience within the fire and security industry, with a strong background in fire systems, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work independently and be part of a team that ensures the highest industry standards (SSAIB and BAFE). The position includes call-out shifts on a rota basis, providing 24-hour service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain fire and security systems to industry standards (BAFE, SSAIB).
- Commission systems and conduct handover to customers ensuring full system functionality.
- Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting on various fire and security systems.
- Complete electronic reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota (approx. once every 6 weeks) to provide 24/7 customer support.
- Share technical knowledge and assist colleagues, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in fire and security systems.
- Solid understanding of BS5839:1, BS5266:1, and BS7671 standards.
- Experience with BAFE SP203-1 and all SSAIB standards.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
- Good IT skills and experience using relevant software for reporting and system configurations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
