My client is seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to oversee and implement Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) management systems within a manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations, fosters a safe and sustainable work environment, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. This role covers HSQE but it will have a focus on H&S.Key Responsibilities:Health and Safety Management:
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
  • Deliver safety training programs and ensure OHS compliance.
  • Maintain records of accidents, oversee emergency preparedness, and ensure ISO 45001 compliance.
Quality Management:
  • Lead quality control systems and ensure compliance with ISO 9001.
  • Manage audits, address non-conformities, and oversee customer complaints.
  • Promote a quality-driven culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
Environmental Management:
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
  • Develop environmental policies and conduct audits.
  • Drive waste reduction, energy efficiency, and ISO 14001 compliance.
Leadership and Training:
  • Mentor and develop the HSQE team.
  • Deliver training on HSQE practices and manage the HSQE budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to embed HSQE practices.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Monitor compliance with HSQE standards and regulations.
  • Prepare reports for senior management and stay updated on legislation changes.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, and environmental performance.
  • Analyse data trends and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
Education / Qualification Requirements:
  • Certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH), quality (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma), or environmental (e.g., ISO 14001).
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSQE management within manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO standards).
  • Proven experience in safety auditing, risk management, and sustainability initiatives.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSQE management software.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
