As an Embedded Software Engineer could you provide software design and development expertise to multi-disciplinary project groups in a dynamic working environment?

About The Role:

As the Embedded Software Engineer you would be part of a small software team, engaged in a wide variety of activities, supporting a growing product range. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in embedded software development, proficient with Linux on X86 architecture, and skilled in programming with C/C++.

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience of full life-cycle development of embedded software from requirements definition to product delivery, including documentation, design reviews, test/integration and commissioning.
  • Experience of working with Linux on X86 architecture.
  • Experience of programming in C/C++.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for key areas of system through requirement capture to product delivery.
  • Ability to meet demanding technical and commercial requirements with minimal supervision.

To be a standout candidate for the position, special attention will be given to those who can demonstrate the following:

  • Real Time Software development
  • Device driver development
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) development/configuration and control
  • Video stream processing/manipulation
  • Experience of design methods and tools (UML/Enterprise Architect)
  • Experience of Texas Instruments micro-controllers & Code Composer IDE.
  • Experience of developing applications using Qt.

The working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:15am- 5.00pm and Friday 8:15am- 12:45pm.

You will be rewarded with an above market rate salary that will reflect your skills and experience.
