Industrial Coatings Applicator (ICA) Supervisor – Norwich

Contract Personnel are looking for an experienced Industrial Coatings Applicator Supervisor for a highly established, award-winning spraying specialists company based in Norwich. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. You should also be willing to travel and work outside of regular hours, including weekends

How does the day-to-day look?

  • Expert Coating Application: Prioritise thorough surface preparation and apply coatings precisely to improve durability and appearance.
  • Safety Champions: Adhere to safety rules and regulations to establish a secure work environment.
  • Efficient Project Management: Effectively manage time, coordinate tasks with the team, and meet project deadlines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Take care of tools and keep them in good condition.
  • Effective Communication: Share updates, clarify project requirements, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve successful project outcomes. Ensuring effective communication with clients.

You will have:

  • Surface Preparation Skills: Capable of preparing surfaces for coatings using methods such as blasting, power tools, and solvents.
  • Coatings Knowledge: Familiar with various types of coatings, including how to apply them and their thickness requirements.
  • Equipment Operation Proficiency: Proficient in operating and maintaining equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance Commitment: Dedicated to promoting health and safety (H&S) and understanding legal responsibilities.
  • Quality Control Experience: Experienced in inspecting coatings for thickness, uniformity, adhesion, and appearance using gauges, test equipment, and documentation.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Skilled in clear and collaborative communication, addressing concerns, and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Project Management Proficiency: Proficient in planning, resource management, risk management, quality assurance, problem-solving, and documentation for effective project management.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 07:30am – 4:30pm

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
