We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Stores Operative to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient handling of goods and materials, ensuring accurate stock control, timely processing, and adherence to health and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Goods-In from suppliers and internal departments with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring compliance with packaging standards.
  • Maintain stock rotation and ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ensure safe and appropriate storage of materials in line with company policies and health & safety regulations.
  • Operate a forklift and other necessary equipment to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Identify areas for operational improvements and support their implementation.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Accuracy and timeliness in processing work orders, sales orders, and goods receipts.
  • Completion of daily cycle counts with a focus on precision.
  • Adherence to administrative processes and optimisation of the Vertical Lift Module.
  • Identification and implementation of improvement opportunities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing stores environment.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and stock control systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driving licence (a forklift certification is a plus).
