In this role you will be working within Schools, Care homes, Contract Catering & Events, so you would need to have an enhanced DBS and be able to work across Norfolk.Driving license and access to your own vehicle will be preferable.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sandwiches, and portioning food items
- Set up serving areas and ensure they are well-stocked with required items
- Serve meals to residents or students in a timely and courteous manner
- Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Provide friendly and helpful service to residents, students, and staff
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure smooth operations
- Previous experience in catering, food service, or a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
