My client is seeking a proactive Quality Engineer to join the Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE) team. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, minimizes rework and waste, enhances quality improvements, and maximizes customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively support the QHSE Department, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Produce and progress Manufacturing Inspection Test Plans and meet customer QHSE requirements.
  • Undertake internal and external QHSE audits.
  • Lead customer and certification audits, ensuring contract requirements are flowed down effectively.
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects, waste, and downtime.
  • Collate internal and supplier product records for customer contract data dossiers.
  • Identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support Supplier Quality Assurance, including site visits in the UK and globally.
  • Ensure products manufactured in other group factories meet quality system requirements, which may involve travel to China.
  • Perform additional tasks as reasonably requested by the Line Manager.
Education / Qualification Requirements:Essential:
  • HNC in an Engineering discipline.
Preferred:
  • Certified Auditor to ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Supplier Quality Assurance.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Experience conducting internal and external QHSE audits.
  • Experience with customer and certification audits.
Skills and Competencies:Essential:
  • Highly self-motivated with a drive for success.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in numerical and statistical analysis.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines.
Desirable:
  • Experience creating and managing information in spreadsheets and databases.
