Contract Personnel are currently searching for a highly experienced Quality Engineer for their client based in the Hingham area. 

We are seeking a Quality Engineer who are looking for that next step in their career to help drive our clients growth and success within their Quality team.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible in ensuring that our clients products meets their high quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. With your contributions, you will have a significant impact within their fast growing organisation.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES:

• Deputize and delegate for the quality manager as required.

• Support quality teams operational deployment and its effectiveness in execution of day to day activities and to coach the application of Quality tools and techniques.

• Promote and raise awareness of our quality system while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and process discipline within a just culture.

• Represent them and/or quality departments as quality focal in customer or project meetings.

• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the management systems through-out the organization to meet legislative / regulatory requirements, the needs of customers, the business and its stakeholders.

Other duties:

  • Assisting with implementing and maintaining quality processes
  • Maintain Quality documents
  • Supporting the site quality manager
  • Supporting business processes and new product introduction
  • Review customer rejects and returns
  • Assist with the management of non-conformances
  • Carry out supplier quality assurance activities
  • Be able to analyse data against targets and KPI's 
  • Perform any other duties as required

Shift Pattern

  • 0800-1630 Monday to Thursday - £175 per day
  • 0800-1300 Friday - £95 per day

Experience/skills required:

  • Diploma/Certificate in Engineering or Quality
  • Knowledge and appreciation of ISO9001:2015
  • FAI knowledge and understanding
  • Able to use Quality tools in order to continually increase the performance of manufacturing from a quality perspective (FMEA, RCA, SPC, Process capability studies / MSA, Gauge R&R etc.).
