Production Planner – NR16

Contract Personnel are looking for an experienced Production Planner for our well-established client based in NR16.

How does the day-to-day look?

  • Produce the production plan to ensure optimal utilisation of the mill as well as OTIF finished product delivery
  • Ensure that raw material and ingredient stocks are managed so that the production plan can be achieved. Use the relevant tools in SAP and DSL to support this task
  • Order raw materials according to the forecast and the production plan, to ensure that contracts are managed, and mill production runs continuously
  • Support planning outbound transport
  • Support the management of compliance, food safety, and health and safety:
  • Assist with UFAS compliance, and verify and monitor standards.
  • Be part of mill HACCP committee and ensure HACCP inspections are up to date, that CCP’s are signposted, and that Mill Operatives are trained in control measures
  • Work with the team to achieve UFAS accreditation, with a particular interest in traceability, and any other audits as required
  • Assist with management of third-party contractors who will from time to time be required to work at the Mill, ensuring all receive an induction and permit to work before they enter site

You will have:

  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • The capacity to be influential and amenable
  • The capacity to meet deadlines
  • The ability to work with others, including external stakeholders and advisers
  • Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
  • Full working knowledge of SAP B1 (desirable but not essential)
  • Working knowledge of DSL mill management system (desirable but not essential)

Schedule:  Monday to Friday 8-4 or 9-5

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE
