We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Legal Assistant to join our in-house legal team. If you have excellent organisational skills, a passion for law, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Draft, proofread, and organise legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Case Management: Assist with document discovery, prepare court filings, and maintain case files.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and regulations to support ongoing cases.
  • Client Interaction: Manage client intake, handle client inquiries, and provide updates on case progress.
  • Court Filings & Scheduling: Prepare and file documents electronically with the court, schedule meetings, depositions, and manage attorney calendars.
  • Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing exhibits, trial materials, and support attorneys during hearings or trials.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Familiarity with legal documents and court filing procedures is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software (LexisNexis, Westlaw).
  • Prior experience in a legal office or related environment preferred.
