Simon Acres Recruitment are looking for a Head Of Operations & Logistics for a well-established, highly successful, and growing Furniture retailer based in Norfolk.

As our client continues to expand, they are looking for an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Head of Operations & Logistics to oversee and optimize their supply chain, logistics, and day-to-day operational activities. This leadership position is integral to our client’s success in delivering quality products and services efficiently.

About the Role:

As the Head of Operations & Logistics, you will take full accountability for the daily operations of our client’s transport, warehouse, and logistics teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth planning, scheduling, and coordination of shipments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inspirational leadership and take full responsibility for all operational management.
  • Oversee daily transport, warehouse, and logistics operations, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively resolving any issues.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, creating data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise costs and service levels.
  • Ensure workforce effectiveness through training, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Utilise data to drive productivity, improve stock management, and enhance cost efficiencies.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and proactive risk management.
  • Provide strategic input on Warehouse Management System (WMS) upgrades and IT projects.
