Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting a Material Handling Manager to join a very successful car manufacturing company based in Norfolk. As a world-renowned sports car manufacturing company, my client is looking to add an experienced Material Handling Manager to oversee multiple factions of the business.

Overview

The purpose of the role is to manage the Material Handling Operations across the business. The ideal candidate will be able to control, plan and execute material handling operations across the warehouse, material handling and integrated operations on site.

As well as this, the ideal candidate will be able to reach targets (KPI’s) in relevance to health and safety, material availability, inventory, door to production line performances, all whilst managing in a strong and committed manner.

The Role

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, Experience-based

Location: Norwich 

Hours:  13:00pm to 20:00pm, Monday to Friday (slightly flexible if agreed upon mutually)  

Expectations

-          Develop and integrate material handling operations into the organisation

-          Deliver the objectives of the client, in accordance with safety, costs and operational targets

-          Produce, implement and develop processes that ensure quality throughout all service levels

-          Assist the Production Operations team by meeting build deadlines, along with full material options, all at the correct time and when they are required

-          Build a continuously improving environment

-          Carry out layered audits focused on safety, 5S and operational effectiveness

Requirements

-          Vast experience of senior management within a warehouse/logistics environment

-          Experience managing 3PL integrated relationships

-          Extremely stronger interpersonal and management skills

-          Experience within automotive setting (advantageous)
