A globally renowned, market-leading engineering organisation are looking to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to cover a Sunday shift (06:00 - 18:00).


The focus of the position is to carry out proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and services associated within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment:


  • Executing planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvements and modification or upgrade to plant and services to minimise downtime and maintain the equipment in the best possible condition.
  • Striving towards continuous improvement of all machinery and equipment to effectively reduce engineering downtime, thereby maintaining plant availability, efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Carrying out all engineering work to high Engineering, Quality and Safety standards.
  • Delivering turn-key improvement projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner.


Please note, the rate quoted is inside IR35 and an umbrella company rate.


This position is 12-hours per week (Sundays) on an ongoing contract basis. As such, could suit someone with employment elsewhere looking for extra hours/income, or a Mechanical Engineer or Maintenance Engineer/Technician looking for a part-time position.


To be considered for this position, you must have strong industry experience, ideally with welding, fabrication and or machining skills. You will have experience in a fast-paced engineering / manufacturing environment along with a formal qualification in a mechanical engineering related discipline (NVQ Level 3 or higher required).
