An industry-leading technology company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to provide technical design expertise for opto-electronic product development. The company develops cutting-edge solutions for high-reliability applications, working across aerospace, microelectronics and advanced manufacturing industries.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide technical expertise in the design and development of opto-electronic products, while also supporting manufacturing, new product introduction, and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer
- The design and development of opto-electronic products
- Solutions for harsh environments applications, including high temperature
- Mechanical model design and simulation including stress and thermal analysis
- Design of various tools and jigging to support manufacturing
Essential Experience required for the Mechanical Design Engineer
- Strong mechanical background and manufacturing experience
- Experience with 2D & 3D CAD and simulation for complex design.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment related to fibre products.
