As a Training Officer and Plumbing & Gas Tutor/Assessor, you will teach and mentor apprentices from diverse backgrounds, guiding them through their learning journey and helping them achieve their full potential. You will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training in Plumbing and Gas at Level 3 and above.
  • Develop and adapt course materials to meet educational standards and industry needs.
  • Foster relationships with external parties and promote industry events and activities.
  • Ensure exceptional safety and quality in your work while leading by example.
  • Actively support apprentices' safety and welfare throughout their training journey.

Person Specification:Essential Requirements:
  • Fully qualified Plumbing & Gas with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong technical abilities and up-to-date knowledge of plumbing and gas technology.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
  • Strong IT, administrative, and organizational skills.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Experience with government training schemes and National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
  • Assessor qualifications (e.g., D32, D33, A1, or TAQA).
  • Teaching qualifications (e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, or Cert Ed) are advantageous.
