Our client, one of the worlds leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.

Our client is currently working on a road improvement scheme to reduce congestion and improve safety. As such, they are looking for an Engineering Surveyor to join our infrastructure team. The role will primarily be based on-site.

What you'll do:

  • Support the Chief Engineering surveyor and or the Engineering survey manager in co-ordination across all technical work streams
  • Develop the engineering survey teams to meet project needs.
  • Ensure that the project have the appropriate survey control network to fulfil the construction requirements.
  • Setting out the works in accordance with the contract requirements before work is programmed to commence.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying, or ONC/B Tec in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying and previous experience as an Senior Engineering Surveyor
  • Extensive awareness of appropriate survey instruments, software and working methods.
  • Full professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body
  • Commercial acumen

Key Performance Indicators

  • Ensure that the project has the appropriate survey control network to undertake their operational tasks.
  • Manage the topographic survey deliverables required by the designer, in accordance with OWOW.
  • Manage the technical skills of the engineering survey project team, and implement improvement plans.
  • Measure the performance of setting out errors and BIM savings.
  • Measure the commercial cost of surveying.
