This role of Senior Structural Engineer has been created to support the consultancy’s strategic expansion. As part of a highly skilled team, the successful candidate will take the lead on high-profile projects, collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to transformative designs, mentor junior staff, and make a lasting impact within a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Senior Structural Engineer will:

  • Take ownership of structural engineering designs, ensuring innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions are delivered to meet client and project requirements.
  • Oversee projects from concept through to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide integrated design solutions while maintaining clear and effective communication.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, fostering their professional development and maintaining high technical standards across the team.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of designs and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of working on diverse projects, including commercial and residential developments.
  • Strong knowledge of structural design across various materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) and expertise in industry-standard softwares.
  • Working towards or holding chartership with IStructE or ICE, demonstrating commitment to professional excellence.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with clients, architects, and contractors, and lead collaborative discussions to achieve project goals.
