Your new companyThe client supplies medical alarms to people who may need assistance in their house; some are fixed within the house and others will be worn by the user.We are looking for a Dispatch Assistant on a temporary basis for around one month to assist during our busy period,The role is based in Norwich, just outside the City Centre.Your new roleThe main purpose of the Dispatch Assistant is ensuring customer orders are prepared, tested and sent out on time, guaranteeing next day delivery and a perfect start to our customer's journey with us. Within the team there are a number of key responsibilities that you will undertake on a daily basis. Key responsibilities include the programming and testing of alarm equipment, processing customer orders and packing, processing returned goods and reconditioning equipment, as well as maintaining a safe and organised warehouse & stockroom.The main duties will entail:
- Ensuring returned goods are processed promptly through our CRM system.
- Following up any notes where equipment may need to be kept to the side or tested for faults and reported back to customers.
- Accurately updating the customer's account and ensuring their subscription plan and pricing is updated where necessary.
- Effective communication with the Customer Contact Centre (particularly the Credit Control team) regarding any missing or damaged equipment, as well as miscellaneous equipment and any additional information received from the customer.
- Receiving returned goods from various couriers and ensuring they are organised and labelled.
- Separating and storing returned goods in an organised manner.
- Accurately labelling boxes.
- Ensuring the stockroom and warehouse are tidy and coordinated.
