Special Needs Support Assistants required for SEN Schools and Mainstream Primary Schools in Norfolk

We are looking for experienced teaching assistants to work with pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD and/or Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) you will be working either 1:1 or with small groups of pupils with plenty of support. 

These are ongoing contracts with the possibility of permanency for the right candidates.

We are looking for staff in the following areas:-

Norwich, Kings Lynn, Great Yarmouth, Thetford, Wymondham and North Walsham

Duties include:

Assessing the individual needs of the pupil and following their EHCP’s

Evaluating and reporting pupils' progress to teachers, carers and health care professionals

Managing challenging behaviour in a positive and calm way

The successful candidate will have some experience within:

Autism Spectrum Condition - ASC

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - ADHD 

Social, Emotional and Mental Health - SEMH 

Your experience could have been gained within a specialist setting or a mainstream setting.

Have good communication skills and be able to see through the behaviour

Experience of de-escalation techniques would be advantageous.
