Job Summary:As a CNC Toolmaker, you will be responsible for producing precision tools, fixtures, and components using CNC machinery. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards and specifications are met. This role demands a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of CNC machinery and tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.) to produce high-quality precision tools and components.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure exact measurements and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize tooling solutions and ensure product quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Toolmaker or in a similar CNC machining role.
  • Strong proficiency with CNC programming (e.g., Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens controls).
  • Excellent understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ability to work with various materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Skilled in using measuring instruments and quality control tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Machining (e.g., apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent).
