Reed Food & FMCG have been briefed to recruit for a Trainee Quality Control Technician on a Permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, legality and authenticity of raw materials received to the business.

Through full training which is provided to the successful applicant, the role will be offered to someone who has the drive to learn and is keen on developing their skills further.

Trainee QC Technician

Norwich

Up to 26,500 per annum

Monday to Friday - 0800hrs - 1630hrs

Immediate Start

Responsibilities:

  • Raw material intake checks - certificates of analysis verification for raw materials, sampling and traceability records
  • Performing internal analysis for the product i.e. salt and moisture testing
  • Passing or rejecting deliveries and ensuring that pallets are labelled according including allergen labels
  • Ensure intake documents are maintained and up to date to comply with the expectations of internal and third-party audits
  • Allergen and Micro Sample Collection - testing, inputting data and recording results
  • Calibration of laboratory equipment and record keeping
  • Product measurement, supporting shift inspection process
  • Facilitate product sampling and external laboratory testing including taste panels
  • Assisting and conducting internal audits e.g. good manufacturing process (GMP) and hygiene audits
  • Offering relief cover for the Quality Technician
  • Ensure effective communication between Quality department and other departments within the business to maintain workflow and collaboration.

Person Specification:

Essentials -

  • The ability to work on own initiative and make decisions within a predetermined guideline, often within time pressured scenarios
  • Excellent communications and literacy skills at all levels and the ability to work well with others
  • Quality conscious
