About the role:
In this role, you will lead teams in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of equipment in water and wastewater treatment plants, including collection systems and industrial control systems. You will troubleshoot machinery and plan work from blueprints and specifications. Additionally, you will supervise preventive maintenance and ensure safety practices are followed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead teams in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling equipment in water and wastewater treatment plants and systems.
- Troubleshoot industrial machinery and equipment to identify performance issues.
- Plan work from blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
- Supervise preventive maintenance services.
- Follow established safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.
- Operate a motor vehicle (valid CAT B driving license required).
- Pass a pre-employment physical and immunizations.
About you:
As a Lead Mechanic, you will diagnose, plan, and complete projects related to water and wastewater systems. You will lead teams in corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, utilizing your knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will work with test equipment like micrometres, volt meters, and more, ensuring safety practices and regulations are followed. BTEC Level 3/ City and Guilds/ NVQ in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering together with experience in the trade and a valid CAT B driving license is required.
