Project Manager – Infrastructure - Highways 

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team.

You will work on our Infrastructure project and frameworks Ideally, you will be based locally, although we are open to subsiding relocation.

  • Manage a section of works on a day-to-day basis including the supervision/monitoring of the site team/supply chain.
  • Prepare sequencing drawings
  • Expected to drive programme and lead daily LEAN meetings
  • Plan, control and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated.
  • Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team taking full ownership of the costs for section of work assigned.
  • Ensure any changes in scope (operations, commercial, programme or design) are captured and managed.
  • Understand any temporary works requirements.
  • Undertake value engineering solutions.
  • Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders, building effective relationships.
  • Administering the cost forecast, valuation and reporting systems.
  • Implement and attend weekly and monthly site meetings.
  • Ensure all site team and supply chain are working to the latest design information.
  • Undertake material take offs where required and ensure materials are ordered and reconciled.

About You:

  • Able to manage multiple or larger packages of work
  • Ability to read and interpret data, drawings specifications and schedules.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise multiple workloads.
  • Adept at interfacing with site team, subcontractors, designer and the client.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM 15 and NEC
  • Able to interpret, extract and disseminate works information relating to program of works.
  • Proven leadership and delegation skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Aware of individual Health and Safety Responsibilities and adheres to company H&S policy and procedures.
  • Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the business values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration.
  • Structures background required ideally with understanding of general highways works
