Senior Project Manager - Facilities & Infrastructure Are you ready to lead impactful projects, drive innovation, and contribute to a dynamic and progressive team? We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of facilities, infrastructure, and business improvement initiatives within our Programme Management Office. In this pivotal role, you’ll manage diverse projects ranging from small-scale improvements to large-scale capital works, with budgets up to £10m. Key Responsibilities Project Management
  • Take ownership of complex, multi-phase projects from initial planning to completion and handover.
  • Establish clear project controls, define timelines, set milestones, and monitor costs to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Maintain robust financial oversight, prepare forecasts, and address potential budgetary risks with corrective actions.
  • Implement effective change management processes to handle project modifications, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned and informed.
Strategic Planning & Development
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of strategic asset management plans to support operational resilience and sustainability.
  • Prepare compelling business cases with cost-benefit analyses to secure stakeholder buy-in and approvals.
  • Ensure rigorous risk management and project assurance, conducting compliance checks and reviews to align with governance frameworks.
  • Promote adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, operational teams, and external consultants to align project objectives with organisational priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration across engineering, finance, procurement, and facilities teams, as well as external contractors.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members and sharing best practices.
Resource & Budget Management
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively, optimising staff, materials, and budget utilisation.
  • Oversee procurement and tendering processes, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and value for money.
  • Monitor risks across financial, operational, and safety aspects, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
  • Embed a proactive approach to health and safety within all project activities.
  • Conduct regular audits, reviews, and training to maintain compliance with industry standards and statutory requirements.
  • Actively manage risks and maintain updated RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
Asset Management & Project Handover
  • Develop and implement strategic asset plans that align with sustainability and operational goals.
  • Oversee seamless project handovers, ensuring assets, documentation, and knowledge transfer meet operational requirements.
  • Conduct post-completion evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvement.
