Job Summary:
Due to the expansion of the current business, my client are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee all aspects of Quality within multiple businesses under the company umbrellaÂ
This will involve the management and co-ordination of three businesses QMS and integration and harmonisation where possible within the operation. The role will also require a proactive approach to leading the development of the business functionality to ensure the highest standards and compliance are met across the board.
With Customers and Suppliers worldwide, ensuring the variety of product manufactured meets customer specification and international standards throughout the complete project life cycle.
The role may entail both on-site and off-site/overseas working.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Standards, Procedures and Specifications
Up keep and development of Group Companies QMS and ISO9001 Certification
Management and reporting of Performance Stats
Management of Vendor Qualifications and Audits
Oversight of Goods In Inspection and Quality Reviews
Material Certification Reviews
Lead customer and certification audits and flow down all contractual requirements.
Supplier Quality Assurance, Domestic and International (On site Document Reviews & Inspections to ensure product compliance)
Produce and Control contract specific Product Inspection & Test Plans and Customer Quality Specifications and Commitments
Documentation Packs and policing of Documents, Records, Certificates (Internal and Sub-Contracted)
Quality Report Writing and Reviews
Root Cause Analysis Investigations
Non-Conformance Reporting
Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in suitably applicable field
Suitable Auditing Qualification to ISO 9001
Experience:
Essential:
Working in a Quality Manager role in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and understanding of OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
Undertaking internal and external Quality audits
Customer and certification audits
Knowledge of various manufacturing specifications and process, including Welding, Paint & Fabrication
Desirable:
Experience of working with Defence, Industrial and Offshore Contracts
LEAN and Six Sigma Training
Knowledge and understanding of Def-Stans and GS3001
Skills:
Highly self-motivated with a desire to succeed and help move the business forward
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to plan and organise workload of yourself and team members
Set, work to and achieve challenging deadlines
Skilled in numerical and statistical analysis
Confident with Microsoft Office packages
Physical Requirements:
Full UK Driving License.
