Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an entry-level Quantity Surveyor looking to kickstart their career in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and establish budgets for proposed projects.
  • Contract Management: Develop tender documents, contracts, bills of quantities, and manage procurement processes.
  • Cost Control & Monitoring: Monitor project expenditures, ensure adherence to budgets, and provide regular financial progress reports.
  • Valuation & Payment: Value completed work, arrange payments, and prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant laws and regulations, provide advice on construction law and contractual issues.
  • Sustainability & Value Engineering: Promote sustainable construction practices and implement value engineering principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and regulations.
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is a plus.
