Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster development.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
  • Provide cover for lessons in other subjects as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and contribute to school initiatives.
  • Participate actively in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science, with experience teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Ability to teach and cover a range of subjects, showcasing versatility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate with staff.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
