In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless procurement of materials and components for innovative defence engineering projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and procure materials, components, and services required for manufacturing projects in line with project timelines and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure the best value for the company.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and address any issues that could impact project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to meet requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with MoD and industry-specific procurement standards and regulations.
Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
  • Proven experience in a procurement or buying role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain processes and procurement strategies.
  • Familiarity with MoD or defence sector requirements is highly desirable.
  • Must be a British citizen due to the security requirements of the projects.
Working Pattern:
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:45 to 16:30
  • Friday: 07:45 to 12:15
