Join our client, an award-winning organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals. They are currently seeking a Housing Officer to provide essential support to women experiencing homelessness, focusing on helping them access and maintain housing. This role is crucial in their efforts to prevent homelessness within the Norwich area and involves collaboration with various agencies to offer comprehensive support.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide intensive 1:1 support and advocacy for women facing multiple disadvantages to help them access and maintain housing and engage with necessary support services.
- Employ a case-management approach that places the woman at the centre, empowering her throughout the process.
- Maintain a flexible and responsive approach to work, including outreach and floating support activities, to engage with women in environments where they feel comfortable.
- Utilise the MEAM (Making Every Adult Matter) approach to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies and organisations across both statutory and voluntary sectors.
- Collaborate closely with local organisations to ensure clear pathways and accessibility for women to address various disadvantages.
- Experience in supporting vulnerable individuals facing homelessness.
- Ability to work flexibly with occasional early mornings and late evenings.
- Strong interpersonal and advocacy skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and relevant police vetting as required for the role.
- Ability to travel around Norwich as needed.
- Competitive salary range of £24,500 - £26,500 per annum.
