Hours: Monday - Friday 0830 - 1530

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join our team in Suffolk. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting teachers in educating children with challenging behaviour, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students with SEMH needs.
  • Implement individual education plans for students.
  • Use a variety of strategies to engage and motivate students.
  • Assist in monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers and therapists.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with their emotional and mental health needs
  • Attend regular training and development sessions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, particularly with SEMH students.
