- Managing supplier documentation, records, and certificates (internal and sub-contracted).
- Acting as the main point of contact between suppliers and the company for commercial matters.
- Negotiating delivery schedules and pricing to meet business demands within budgetary control.
- Raising purchase orders in line with company policies and managing timely deliveries.
- Maintaining and developing supplier relationships to ensure consistent project support.
- Investigating and resolving non-conforming product issues, ensuring corrective actions are effective.
- Reporting issues affecting project timelines to the Procurement Manager or Project Manager.
- BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of National, EU, International, and client-specific standards and processes.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Experience in material certifications.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with defence contracts and manufacturing control plans.
- Knowledge of electric motors and generators.
- Forward-thinking and initiative-driven approach.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to collaborate and influence at all levels, including third-party organisations.
- Must be a UK National.
