School Finance Officer – Norwich – Term-time hours

We are seeking a School Finance Officer to support the Headteacher in managing the school’s finances and administrative tasks. This is a vital role for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and experience in finance administration.

The Role:
You’ll work closely with the Headteacher on financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with financial controls. Key responsibilities include managing payroll, handling employee records, recruitment administration, and completing staffing records. You’ll also manage the purchase and sales ledger, oversee banking transactions, and monitor contracts and supplier deliveries. This role involves coordinating school finance processes such as dinner money collections, trip accounts, and asset inventory maintenance. You’ll attend Governor meetings four times a year and provide support for facilities management and school projects.

  • Experience: Proven experience in finance or administrative roles, ideally in a school or educational setting.
