Overview of role

This position offers a balanced mix of office-based coordination and on-site management, ensuring the smooth operation of our installation projects. Were looking for a pro-active individual with a strong background in the glazing industry and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of glazing.

Primarily you will be responsible for ensuring that all installation processes are completed on time and to the highest possible standard. Liaising with internal and external customers to ensure that customer requirements are met and that the installation process is managed effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work closely with and manage the installation teams on a daily basis to ensure the projects are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Manage the logistics of the installation process
  • Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed
  • Overseeing the schedules and ensuring the work is being allocated in the most effective way for both the company and the customer
  • Liaising with customers when required to do so
  • Attending site with the installation teams on a regular basis to ensure their work is being carried out to the highest possible standard
  • To assist with the installation of glazing products if and when required to do so
  • Carrying out post installation checks (using installation checklist) to assess the performance of installation teams and also the quality of the product on site, aim to inspect each teams work a minimum of once a month.
  • Write a report on each installation viewed,feeding back to the installers positives as well as the negatives and making sure they understand and have the required skills required to make the required improvements. Provide feedback of installers performance at monthly department meetings with CEO or earlier in the case of poor standards of work.
  • Look to recognise weaknesses in installers and organise meetings and training days to rectify these issues.
  • Visiting sites where customer have complaints and issues, writing a report and detailing any necessary works and parts required to seek a satisfactory resolution.
  • Working with ordering/installation departments to ensure outstanding works are prioritised so jobs are completed swiftly.
  • These visits can also be used as an installation check to make best use of your time whilst on site.
  • Ensuring vans are properly stocked before leaving base on a Monday morning
  • We cover all areas of the UK so you would be expected to stay away from home when attending sites
  • Report any accidents or damage to the van directly to Chief Administrative Officer
  • Ensure that the vans are clean and presentable at all times
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and any additional notes made
  • Assist with any other duties that may be required from time to time
