We are seeking an enthusiastic full time Food Technology Teacher to join a dedicated and supportive team in May until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their culinary skills and understanding of nutrition. As a Food Technology teacher, you will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality, practical lessons, encouraging students to explore creativity within food preparation, while promoting healthy eating and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that combine practical cooking skills with food science and nutrition.
- Encourage students to explore food preparation techniques, while promoting a positive approach to healthy eating.
- Ensure all students are aware of and follow safety standards within the kitchen.
- Assess students progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support students broader development.
- Support students with additional learning needs, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events related to Food Technology.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Two school based references.
- Experience of teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong knowledge of food science, nutrition, and cooking techniques.
- A passion for teaching and inspiring students in the subject area.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that cater to students of all abilities.
- A proactive, creative approach to teaching with a focus on student well-being and development.
- Right to work in the UK.
